It has actually been 20 years since I took the big step and started my own business. 🙌 🥂

After recently reflecting on a time-lapse of the last two decades, I feel a sense of gratitude for good and sometimes turbulent times.

In a quiet moment this week, I contemplated with a cup of tea ☕ and jotted down some words of wisdom to fellow business owners;

⭐ Be supportive and very much a part of your clients progress.

⭐ Don’t hesitate to delegate and create a solid background team to share the load.

⭐ Every year brings new beginnings and opportunities to grasp.

⭐ Maintain focus and structure in your business.

⭐ Take regular breaks and holidays to help keep you motivated and refreshed.

⭐ Remember that your family will be around a lot longer than your business ever will.

I’ve been visiting the Isle of Mull now for the last 10 years. With its beautiful landscape and unique wildlife, it provides a sense of escapism and comfort. 🏖 🌲 🦅

There is a beautiful simplicity and rawness about the island that leaves me captivated each time. I realise now maybe I visit repeatedly to seek out that feeling of being vulnerable and exposed to the elements.

Sometimes we have to take ourselves out of the normal conventions of life and experience vulnerabilities to invoke fresh ideas and put our feet back firmly on the ground.
